A little excitement...

I want to apologize if you called or came to the shop late in the afternoon Wednesday.
Joy got a nose bleed.
Not just your average nose bleed.
I had to close up and take her over to Insti-Care.
They couldn't get it to stop.
They suited her up with a pair of nose pincher's and sent us to the ER.
What an exciting afternoon....that turned into evening....that turned into night.
After a few times cauterising and then inserting something called
a rhino rocket, they sent us home.
This was at 11:00 pm!
Thank goodness for the kind patient people at the ER.
This was the easiest of emergencies.
Just a pain in the (nose)!

Something new for your hands...

We have a great new product at the shop!
In our dry climate my hands are always dry.

LaviShea Lotion Bars are made with the finest natural ingredients. Made of unrefined fair trade Shea butter and 100% natural soy, premium botanical oils, essential oils, and/or skin-safe fragrance.  We also carry an unscented bar. The bars melt with your body heat and absorb quickly and completely without leaving a greasy residue.
Lavishea Lotion Bars may look like soap, but no water is necessary. Simply rub the bar on your skin, and the heat of your body will melt the lotion. It is quickly absorbed for a non-greasy finish. This trait makes it the perfect bar for yarn and needle arts. It is a perfect way to moisturize dry hands and avoid snagging delicate work without leaving a residue on treasured projects.
The lotions bars sell for $9.00
The cuticle cream is $7.00
Thanks Karen for turning us on to this great product!

Sleeping Princess by Mirabilia...

This is the Sleeping Princess by Mirabillia
We were lucky enough to get to see Penny's finished piece.
Look at the colors in this one!
I wish you could see it in person.
Wendy wants to stitch this so I hope we get to have  it on display.
Once she sees this, I think she will want to start it right away!
The pattern cost is $14.00 and the bead cost is $17.50

I've been frog hunting....

I love the ornery guy at the antique store.
He loves me - he really loves me!
He saved this beautiful art deco frosted glass frog for me.
Now he isn't ornery guy - he is nice guy...
Sitting next to it is a blue berry bowl.
The blues look beautiful together.
Lots of sparkling glass.
Check out the Orreffer crystal bowl!
The bottom is numbered.
Quite a collectors piece.
I had a Vaseline glass frog that needs a home.
I thought that it looked cute in this fluted edge dish.
This reminds me of a honeycomb, thus the golden yellow base.
You know how fast these come and go at the shop.
Come in quick and pick up your favorite.

P.S.
They came and picked up the toilet out front today.
Guess we won't be planting it for spring :)

Surprise, Surprise......

Seems like we keep getting wonderful surprises left on our lawn out front.
First there was the store sign scattered from one end to the other.
Now it seems that someone has dropped off a porcelain bathroom fixture!
It fell off of a passing truck.
A police officer stopped and set it on our lawn.
He said someone would come by to clean it up.
We are still waiting...
Jeesh - what next!
