Frog hunting....

I love the fresh colors of the yellow and green...I love the blue basket weave vase that I found to go with this frog. It looks great with Carolyn's pincushion shoe.

Pink is always a favorite.

This scissor frog is rather cute, but I can't resist the tiny one! I am guessing it is a toothpick holder, but I couldn't resist it! It has got to be lead glass because it is really heavy for it's size. It is very carved and sits on a square base. I thought one pair of scissors and maybe a laying tool would be perfect in it. I am calling it "a pair or a spare". I just love this one.

A card from a friend...

Betty in New York sent us a cute card. I thought that Betty had done a great job with the tiny stitches and finishing on her card.....and then I turned it over and read the back....

I think this is was very cleaver...

It is never too early for Christmas stitching...

This is my finished stitch along. Remember the french pattern "Blanc Christmas" the we stitched a few month back....

I love the frame for this, but I have to admit, it is a little pricey.

But I think it looks very French-ish.

A busy framing week...

I thought that I would share with you some of the beautiful projects that have been coming in for framing.

This is an antique doily stitched by the owners great grandmother. It is framed on a very rich plum colored velvet and I have hand sewn down the entire doily. It was a labor of love.

I couldn't get a good picture without a glare.

This is a plaque that we placed on the bottom of the frame to date the handwork.
Beth finished Long Dogs Quakers Dozen in a beautiful variegated blue silk
We framed Don's Eggs All Around by Glendon Place. I wish you could see this in person. It is sparkling with beads and filaments.
This is Circle of Friends by Mirabilia. This was stitched by a soldier while in Iraq. The signature lists the name, date and word Iraq.
Rose of Sharon by Mirabilia is another impressive piece. So large...The framing is gorgeous, with a velvet finish matting and the perfect shades to bring out the needlework.
This is Master & the Macabre by Cross Eyed Cricket. It has so many symbolism's from the Edgar Allen Poe poem The Raven. It has been a favorite here at the shop. I think that we found the perfect mats for this piece. We will have this on display, you should come in and see it in person!

We are all dog lover here and so is Lori Latey who stitched this Lizzie Kate piece.
Well, that is just a few of the pieced we framed this week. Isn't it fun to see them all done up?

A couple of Blackbirds....

We just framed "Breath of Spring" for Karen. I love her choice of frame. She kept it small to set out on a table. I need to get mine framed!

Lucas had fun with a pattern from "Stitcher's Journal". This was supposed to be a needle cushion with 5 pinwheels on it. He played with it a bit. He changed the colors to some of his favorites, added more rows and eyelets and will now use it as a box top. This is a gift for a friend. Lucky Friend!

Blue Eyes is finished...

This is the beautiful tiger "Blue Eye" framed and ready to go home.
