More progress....

Remember our work in progress? Well, we have added to our department.... The books have now taken over a book rack and we have added a few more threads. This new line is called Lizbet and we have just started with an assortment of 20 and 40 weight. We will be adding to the line and adding even more sizes! We hope that you will enjoy this beautiful thread department in the shop.

A great find....

The perfect Valentine frog. Isn't she pretty! A tiny one that has holes on the small side. This size would be perfect for laying tools and a pair or two of scissors. What a great color, I just couldn't resist! My wonderful Aunt sent me this beautiful dish. It is heavy glass, and cut beautifully. One of our largest ones yet....

New Frogs......

I will try to keep you up to date with the frog cabinet. I have to say, they sell faster than I can post pictures. These are 3 of the most recent. The cabinet has been bare for a week now! This first one is a Fenton blue opalescent footed bowl. The pattern is called shell and wild rose and was produced around 1890 to 1920. The bowl is made from a mold, but the inverted hearts around the edge are hand formed by the artist. Cool huh! This little beauty is a viking flowerlite flower frog bowl. It was created as a flower frog... And everyone likes the green glass. This is the perfect time of the year for green. You can set it out with your shamrock plant! I love the size of this little frog....

Elizabeth...

Isn't she beautiful! This is Elizabeth by Mirabillia. It is designed after the movie icon Elizabeth Taylor. I must say the stitchery is as beautiful as the lady herself. Thanks to Betsy, and her fast fingers, we have her as a model at the shop. You must come in to see her, the pictures just don't do her justice...

Still stitching for the holidays....

Now that Christmas is over there is no reason to quit decorating. There are a lot of fun pieces available to stitch for both Valentines and St. Patrick's Day. We had fun getting everything together to decorate. You should come in and take a look!

Tea Garden....

Norma stitched these two beauties from the pattern "Tea Garden" by Lavender and Lace. There is also a pattern for beautiful roses in the chart pack. We think that they framed up wonderfully and wanted to share the finished pieces with you.

A work in progress....

This is our beautiful new corner in the shop, in progress. A good friend had these cabinets and they looked so cute in her house, that when she wanted something new, I knew they would be perfect for us! Our thread collection is ever growing and we hope to add even more to this selection. We carry sizes from 10 to the tiny size of 100. Perfect for everything from bobbin lace, fillet crochet, crocheting around baby blankets, tatting and so many other beautiful thread works. We will be adding to this department so check it out when you come in!
